Rarity & Collectability
Of the 18 copies graded in BGS 9.5, 7 of them are quad subscores or higher. Is 7 a magic number given that it also matches quad pop reports for Bayou, Badlands and Plateau? This particular copy is one of those 7 quads with no noticeable flaws to the naked eye.
Impressions & Artwork
Scrubland has not been my favorite dual land art. I don't feel like it was distinguishable enough from Savannah, which was painted by Rob Alexander. The one thing that I do appreciate from this artwork though is the color of the sky, which reminds me of dawn on a cold day.
Usage & Gameplay
Scrubland was one of the least popular and perhaps least valuable dual lands in the 90's. White and black seemed to have strong cards, but I'm not sure why this color combo was not as prolific. Interestingly enough, Scrubland in the Alpha edition is more valuable than many of its counterparts due to pricing memory from when it had a lower graded BGS 9.5 population.
